Destinations

Explore destinations by region

Start broad, then narrow down to the part of the world you are actually planning.

I organize destination content by region so you can move from inspiration to useful planning without digging through a giant menu. These guides cover cities, islands, national parks, beaches, road-trip stops, cruise destinations, and the practical details that can make a trip easier.

Browse by region

North America

United States, Canada, Bermuda, national parks, cities, islands, coastal trips, and destinations that work especially well for road trips or cruise extensions.

Caribbean & Central America

Caribbean islands, Mexico, Central America, beaches, resort areas, cruise destinations, and independent travel ideas across the region.

South America

Patagonia, major cities, mountain regions, coastlines, wildlife destinations, and itineraries across one of my favorite parts of the world.

Europe

City breaks, Mediterranean islands, coastlines, cultural destinations, cruise stops, and practical planning across Europe.

Asia & Middle East

Cities, islands, beach destinations, cultural trips, cruise stops, and planning ideas across Asia and the Middle East.

Africa

Safari destinations, cities, mountains, coastlines, islands, and trip-planning guides across Africa.

Oceania & Pacific

Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, French Polynesia, Pacific islands, and destinations where the journey is often part of the fun.

Planning a cruise stop?

If you are choosing destinations specifically for a cruise, browse the Cruise Ports and Cruise Itineraries sections here. For detailed terminal information, transportation, walkability, and port hotels, I also publish CruisePorts.co.

How I approach destination guides

A destination guide should help you make decisions, not just give you a long list of attractions. I try to explain who a place suits, what deserves your time, how difficult it is to get around, what needs advance planning, and which details are likely to change before your trip.

When a guide includes firsthand experience, I say so. When it is researched from official and reputable sources, I make that distinction clear too. You can read the full process in the Editorial Policy & Review Standards.
